SATY KALSI After being pleasantly surprised with Twotone's excellent 'Cinecity' album, decided to buy Mieli 'Version' album (aka Twtone).. Another gem! Deep captivating glitch-dub techno/house excellence. Minimal in style but with plenty of depth that hits the sweet spot of dubby but less abstract side of Kit Clayton, Pole, V/Delay..with added warmth and minimalism of Farben/Gramm. This album certainly sits with the best of glicth & dub-tech of early Scape, Force Inc & Mille Plateaux labels...A real gem! Favorite track: Hometime.

about

Fluttering and beautifully intricate, this is shimmering minimal electronics with a deep dub pulse that will delight fans of the likes of Pole, Vadislav Delay and Mille Plateaux.

***Buy from the artist direct and receive 9 (that's NINE!) unreleased demos from the sessions of this album.***

The music of Twotone features regular techno conventions, such as a regular kick drum and snare beat, but these sounds are augmented by irregular rhythmic placements and supplemental click and cut sounds. Traditional synthesis methods and sounds are often employed, often repeating a simple chord pattern. Other featured sounds are vocal snippets and occasional industrial samples ... more
